FaL Mens Devs welcomed Dunfermline to Linlithgow and the visitors thanked them by battering their hosts for 70 mins.
Carnegie are a few years ahead of FaL in terms of their youth pathway, and it showed as their squad of young players displayed great skills and attacking intent, as well as solid defensive play to make it a really hard afternoon for the home side.
FaL gave a debut to Archie Bunting, and he was unlucky not to score his first senior goal on a couple of occasions,. Alfie Kay netted once again, from a penalty corner routine this time, and Iain Cameron scored the goal of the day with a rocket into the roof of the net from Tom Shearer's circle splitting pass.
The heroes of the day however were in the FaL defence, enduring almost constant pressure at points, resolutely keeping Carnegie at bay in the first half, before eventually succombing to a quick counter on one of the few times the home side managed to mount an attack in the 3rd quarter.
PotM was Paul Geoghegan in the FaL goal, making a number of crucial blocks and great saves throughout the match.
