Mens Development vs Grange 7

The Mens Devs welcomed Grange to a tired looking Falkirk HS astro, and were delighted to give competitive debuts to Tom Shearer and Alexander Neave.

The Devs started well, and moved the ball around nicely, focusing the point of their attack down the right wing, but were unable to test the Grange keeper in the first quarter.

The home side eventually turned theiir possession and territory into a scoreboard advantage in the 2nd quarter, when Lliam Foster's flick was deflected high into the net off a defenders stick.

It was Foster that doubled the Devs lead at the start of the second half, with another deflected effort that struggled into the goal, before Alfie Kay scored the goal of the match with a ripper from the middle of the D that flew into the top left hand corner. Despite protestations from the defence about danger, the goal was allowed to stand, which will allow Alfie to dine out on it for a while!!!

The scoring was completed when Alexander Neave deflected home a penalty corner in the final quarter.

Thanks to all that supported the Devs today, especially Adam Gardner for kitting up in goals and keeping a clean sheet!!

Special mention to Tom and Alexander who both had great debuts for the club, showing great composure in possession, and awareness of their passing options.
